Comedian Mark Banks visits and instrumentalists Deep South perform.
Today we’re taking you into the weekend laughing with one of South Africa’s longest standing comedians with 25 years of stand-up comedy, it’s Mark Banks. We’re also joined by a unique band called Deep South. It’s an acoustic project consisting of some of the country’s finest musicians, including renowned percussionist, Ronan Skillen, who’s played with Rodriguez, Jonny Clegg and Freshly Ground.
The end of May is also on the way and that means the entries for the 2016 Loerie Awards are coming to a close. Today we’re also joined by creative director, Tseliso Ranganka, to chat about what the prestigious awards are looking for this year.
