We focus on education alternatives on today's Afternoon Express.
If you’re a parent or a you’re still in school then you’ve tuned in at just the right time. Today we’re focussing our attention on innovations in schooling. First up we’re chatting to Gavin Keller, who is the principle of Sun Valley Primary School in Cape Town, and he has introduced a ‘no-homework’ policy at his school and the results have been phenomenal.
Then we’re joined by Shirley Erwee, who has been home-schooling her children for almost 20 years and she’s written a number of books on it as well. We're also chatting to the founders of Paper Video, an innovative way to study for your exams without the need for extra lessons, and with only the use of your cellphone.
Bonnie is in the kitchen and she’s with Sonja Elridge creating a delicious butterscotch ice cream.
