Episode 143 • 20 November 2015
Afternoon Express welcomes two exceptional youths this World Children's Day.
Friday 20 November is World Children's Day and in the loft we welcome two youths - no older than 13 years old - in to the loft to celebrate. The first guest is Josh Thirion, who at the age of 9 published his first award-winning cookbook. We set him loose in the kitchen where he and Jeannie create rooibos poached pears. Our next guest is pianist Tyrone Aaron, who is considered a musical prodigy but has also raised thousands of rands towards the protection of our endangered rhinos.
But what is a Friday without a musician? Famed local star Chris Chameleon talks about release of his first children's book "Dit Was Nie Ek Nie" and performs at the end of the show. Also on the couch is Cassy Clarke from Jacaranda FM who chats Sisters with Blisters and in the kitchen Claire makes a nectarine and blueberry upside down cake.
