Davey du Plessis meets Jeannie D and Ron Rutland on Afternoon Express

It's a truly Motivational Monday edition of Afternoon Express as our guests today will have you jumping off the couch with their inspiring stories of travel, hope and bravery.

Two years ago, a man from Cape Town dropped everything, bought a bike and decided to go for a ride. Where most people would go for a little workout on the bike, he decided to cycle to London. For the next 28 months and 43 000km he made his way through every single country in Africa, into Europe and ended up in the UK just in time for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Joining us on the couch is Ron Rutland.

Second up is committed environmentalist, activist, inspirational speaker, author, global explorer - and proud vegan Davey du Plessis. He has cycled across Africa, paddled the length of the Amazon and now he plans to pedal-boat across the Atlantic Ocean with his mother- And all of this before the age of 30!

In the kitchen our culinary hero Claire treats us to delicious melon and coconut sago pudding. But wait, there's more! One of our other guests is also cooking up a storm. It's Hanli Rolfes, who you might know her as the fiery, feisty Anna van Biljon on 7de laan - who lives for her career and who loves nothing more than hunting down a good story. Lets meet the real woman behind the character, seasoned actress, Hanli Rolfes and get a taste of her delicious cuisine.

We chat to the Lebalang Molobele, the Head Representative and Race Alumni of the Sapinda Rainbow Foundation, an organisation that promotes leadership and mentoring to underprivileged South African’s while raising funds for Charities in need.
