South African actress, TV presenter, mother and businesswoman Vanessa Haywood took the world by storm when she landed a role in Hollywood blockbuster, District 9. Since then she appeared on multiple of magazine covers, travelled the world, married international trail running champion Ryan Sandes and become a mother to her son Max. We chat to her about how her family has been managing during lockdown, how they have been keeping fit and the virtual run she did for the SPCA.

General Manager for SABC Television Mr David Makubyane joins us via video call to tell us about the SABC’s brand new education channel.
As part of the effort to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, President Cyril Ramaphosa has imposed a lockdown of the country which includes shutting down all public spaces, offices, schools and universities. According to figures released by UNESCO as of the end of the March more than one billion scholars and students are unable to attend school or university because of Covid-19. The SABC has come up with a solution to help learners get through this time by launching a brand new education channel. General Manager for SABC Television Mr David Makubyane joins us via video call to tell us more.
