Africa Week with Micaela Kleinsmith
Tuesday 23 May
This week it is all about our beautiful African continent and we are cooking dishes from Kenya, Mozambique and Morocco.
The talented Singer-Songwriter and winner of My Kind of Country, Micaela Kleinsmith, joins us for two performances.
On social media, we want to hear from you: which African country would you like to visit and why?
Our chef’s take us to Kenya by showing us how to make Kuku Paku, also known as Kenyan Coconut Chicken Curry. If you’re making this recipe in advance and want to enhance the flavours, marinade the chicken with the spices overnight or for at least 2 hours before cooking.
Let's make a traditional Mozambique inspired stew, also known as Feijoada. This hearty one-pot stew is delicious and a comforting meal to serve your family.
We test Thabiso and Micaela’s knowledge in an African Quiz – play along at home!
Last on the menu is slow cooked Moroccan Lamb Tagine with Couscous. To make this recipe, you can either cook it on the stove top or in the oven (use an oven-safe pot with a lid).
