1. What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?
Waking late. I love a good spring clean in my home and also watching a documentary or two.
 
2. Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?
I’d love to either go to an Island or Europe. I’ve not travelled since the pandemic so any getaway will be welcomed. 
 
3. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Like most children, I shifted regularly with what I wanted to do. From wanting to be an athlete to a journalist. Eventually during my teenage years, it was broadcasting that hooked me.
 
4. What’s a skill you’d like to learn?
I bought a guitar years ago with the intention of learning. It’s still my intention, I just need to show up.
 
5. What’s an activity that instantly calms you?
Breathwork.
 
6. What’s one long-term dream you have for the future?
It’s not exactly long term but I want to do my PhD.
 
7. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy hiking with my family.
 
8. What was the last thing you read?
'Untamed' by Glenn Doyle and 'The Oxygen Advantage' by Patrick McKweon
 
9. What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
Billions and Schitts Creek is always on repeat. 
 
10. If you could only eat one food/meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Dhal and Rice.
 
11. Which meal is your favourite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
Dinner
 
12. What's your favourite season and why?
Summer. South African summers are the best.
 
13. What's the phone app you use most?
Email and WhatsApp.
 
14. How do you take your coffee?
With almond milk.
 
15. What’s an essential part of your daily routine?
Meditation and a walk.
 
16. Do you have a favourite type of exercise?
Walking, strength training, yoga, pilates, dancing, hiking… I love moving.
 
17. What’s the first thing you do after getting home from work?
Make a cup of tea and relax on my bed and reflect on my day.
 
18. Who or what inspires you in your career?
I am inspired by a variety of people daily, people I know and strangers alike. I find I have so much to learn from those older and younger than me. I try to be open and use interactions with others as opportunities to expand my own development. Inspiration can be found everywhere, every day.
 
19. What's your favourite way to spend time with your family?
Sharing a meal and hiking together.
 
20. A genie gives you three wishes—what are they?
Cure for cancer.
Have more time with my parents (they’ve passed).
Rid load shedding.
