Creamy Spin on Braai Salads & Marinades

Creamy Spin on Braai Salads & Marinades


  • 2 cups of green beans
  • 4 eggs, hard boiled
  • 1 tbsp garlic cloves, crushed.
  • A tablespoon of butter
  • Nola Mayonnaise to taste


  1. Bring water to boil, add salt to taste, add beans and cook until crisp (About 5 to 10 minutes).
  2. Drain liquid using colander; warm up pan with a tablespoon of butter over moderate heat, add green beans and fry them with butter for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Move fried beans to a salad bowl, peel and add garlic.
  4. Peel hard boiled eggs and thinly slice them.
  5. Add Salt, if needed, and dress with Nola mayonnaise to taste.
  6. Mix well and serve as a side dish to a braai.


  • 250g pasta screws
  • 2 medium sausages, cubed
  • 1/2 cup cooked, chopped bacon
  • 1/2 cup Nola mayonnaise

Cook pasta in a medium pot as per packet instructions.
Once cooked, set aside to cool.
Transfer into a medium bowl and add all the above ingredients.
Mix well and serve cold

Marinade- either red or white meat


  • 1/2 cup Nola mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons Worcester sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Mix all the ingredients and marinade the meat with the brush. Leave the meat with marinade for 30 minutes and then braai. This works perfectly with chops or chicken breasts.
