Coleslaw with a Nola twist!

Coleslaw with a Nola twist!


1 green apple
½ lemon, finely grated zest and juice
1 cup red cabbage, finely shredded
1 cup white cabbage, finely shredded
1 cup carrot, peeled and finely grated
1 bunch spring onions, thinly sliced
1 cup Nola mayonnaise
salt and milled black pepper

To serve:
2 Tbsp (30ml) fresh parsley, chopped
2 Tbsp (30ml) flaked almonds, toasted (optional)


  1. Coarsely grate the apple, skin on, and place into a large mixing bowl. Cover with lemon juice and the lemon zest and mix well.
  2. Add the red and white cabbage, carrots, and spring onions. Toss well to combine.
  3. Fold in the Nola mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Garnish with fresh parsley and/or toasted flaked almonds if desired.

This salad goes well with wraps, braai, burgers or sarmies.
Preferred serving Suggestion
Add the salad on the wrap and add the pulled pork to make a delicious wrap
