2 T Margie Classic
1kg lamb pieces
1 large onions, finely sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
thumbsize fresh ginger, grated
½ tsp ground /fresh turmeric
1 tsp fresh chilli, chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp garam masala
1 cinnamon stick
1 tin chopped tomatoes
Fresh coriander for serving
Sambals for serving
Poppadums for serving
 
 
Heat the Margie Classic in a saucepan and add the lamb pieces.Season with salt and pepper. Brown the lamb until evenly browned, remove from pot and set aside. Add another tablespoon of Margie Classic and add the onions to the pot along with the garlic, ginger and chilli. If you have fresh turmeric, add that too. Allow to cook until onions are translucent. 
Next add the spices and allow to cook for a minute then add the chopped tomatoes. Return the lamb to the pot and mix well in the spice mixture. Season with salt then add a cup of water. Cover and allow to cook until the lamb is tender. 
Once cooked, serve with sambals, poppadums and naan.
 
Sambals
Chopped tomato, onion and coriander. Add 2 T vinegar to a bowl along with a tsp sugar. Add the chopped ingredients and eason with salt and pepper. 
 
Cucumber and yoghurt

Ingredients
250 
ml yoghurt
1 English cucumber, grated
30 
ml fresh mint, chopped
2 
ml salt
Mix together and set aside.
 
Carrot salad
Ingredients
2 carrots, peeled, grated.
1 onion, finely chopped.
1 tomato, finely chopped.
¼ bunch coriander, chopped,
2 long green chillies (optional), finely chopped.
1 tbsp white vinegar.
Mix together, set aside and allow the flavours to combine
