Caramel Popcorn with Selati
63ml of Popcorn kernels
63 ml Butter
125 ml Brown sugar
32 ml of Glucose
1 ml of Baking soda
4ml of Vanilla essence
¼ teaspoon of Salt
1). Pop the popcorn kernels in a pot with some oil. Place a lid to cover while popping. Set popcorn aside.
2). Melt butter in a pot.
3). When completely melted, add brown sugar, salt and glucose.
4). Boil the mixture for 5 min while stirring constantly.
5). Then boil for a further 5min WITHOUT STIRRING.
6). REMOVE from heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla.
7). Place popped popcorn onto a greaseproof lined tray.
8). Pour the caramel over the popcorn and USING GLOVES. Mix the caramel with the popcorn until evenly coated. Leave to cool.
9) Package popcorn
