Preparation 20 minutes
What’s more sensory evoking than the sights, sounds and smells of a campfire.
The smell of the wood crackling as it burns all bring upon the memories of holidays spent with family sitting fireside as children roast marshmallows skewered on branches. That’s the power of your senses evoking memory.
1 Swiss Roll, halved through the length
300g Ready made chocolate icing
100g good quality dark chocolate, melted
40g chocolate coated popping candy
100g White marshmallows
Place one-half of the Swiss roll cut side down on a serving platter. Cut the remaining half diagonally and place on the side of the piece on the platter to resemble a log with cut branches. Frost the Swiss roll with the chocolate icing to make it look more like a log, scatter over the popping candy. Smooth the melted chocolate over the baking paper before rolling and setting in the fridge for a few minutes. Unroll the paper to reveal the bark like chocolate to be placed on the log. Randomly add the marshmallows before melting the chocolate and roasting the marshmallows with a blowtorch or heat gun. Slice and serve.
