The sensational Zahara performs a medley of 'Loliwe' and 'Country Girl'
Zahara started singing at the age of 6 and by 9-years-old, she was asked to sing for her school's senior choir because of her strong voice. Her musical style is described as afro-soul with influences drawn from Tracy Chapman and India Arie, all while singing in her native Xhosa and English as well.
2012 saw the release of her first major single Loliwe from the album of the same name. The album achieved double platinum status surpassing 100,000 buys after just 19 days, making her the second local musician to so in such a short time following Brenda Fassie. In May 2012 she scooped up 8 South African Music Awards including "Best Female Artist" and "Album of the Year".
2015 sees the release of her new album "Country Girl" which features the single of the same name. Zahara will be performing a medley of her signature song Loliwe as well as Country Girl.
