Singer Yolanda Y'awa performs live in the loft.

Yolanda has performed worldwide and travelled with bands like Women Unite Marimba, Tucan Tucan and CODA Africa, and has shared the stage with the likes of Oliver Mtudkudzi, Jimmy Dludlu, Freshlyground, Bongo Muffin, Kwela Tebza, Malaika and other top local and international artists.

She joined CODA and is cited as a turning point in her career, and within her first year CODA was nominated as one of the five best bands for the Top Billing/Momentum Awards in 2007. Hailing from Gugulethu in Cape Town, Yolanda has won several awards and performed at several high key events the world over.

Yolanda has been "living positively" with HIV for the past 17 years.
