Tsoku Maela, “Sehlaga”
Photographer Tsoku Maela joins us in the loft to discuss his photography that aims to destigmatize Mental Illness.
In his series titled 'Abstract Peaces' South African photographer Tsoku Maela captures his lifelong experience with depression and anxiety. He relays his journey as a way to express himself in a culture where mental illness is often a taboo topic. Today he joins us in the loft to talk about his work and his personal journey and joins our discussion on how Mental Illness is misunderstood in South Africa.
