Thoko Ntshinga

Veteran actress Thoko Ntshinga chats to us about using theater in community upliftment.

Thoko Ntshinga is perhaps best known for her roles as Donna Makaula on the M-Net soap opera Egoli, and as Senior Superintendent Nomsa Dlamba on the SABC1 drama series Interrogation Room, since 2005. She's also appeared in several stage production and in 2013 received a Fleur Du Cap nomination for Best Supporting actress.

Thoko is also currently the Founder and Director of Nants’ingqayi Arts Development Association, a community development project, based in Langa, Cape Town that helps with the self- upliftment and acquiring of skills towards self-empowerment.
