
Thapelo Mokoena
Actor, producer and TV personality Thapelo Mokoena sits down on our couch today.
Born into a big family, Thapelo Archibald Sfufane Mokoena has always been surrounded by a multitude of family members. This explains why he's always had such a strong affinity to people and communities. Thapelo was born in a small town called Ladysmith on the 21st of October 1982, under the Mkhamba tree on his way to hospital. This is the same town that boasts the birth of the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Generation’s Menzi Ngubani and the undefeated boxing champion Sugar Boy Malinga. His roots are firm in the KZN province and the Free State province. Being half Sotho and half Zulu. He has truly managed to get the best of both worlds.
Thapelo is the owner and founder of Easy Sundays productions a company that makes Films and TV shows. He is also a co-founder and President of the Young Producers Forum. Thapelo is also the founder of the Kasi Movie Nights mobile cinema and the Air Cinema Club mobile cinema, a company that does cinema viewing events in townships & rural areas.
