Stanley Henkeman

Heart transplant receiver Stanley Henkeman talks to us about his experiences.

At the age of 48, after six years of low quality existence which resulted from a massive heart attack in 2001, Stanley Henkeman successfully received a heart transplant. Since then he hasn’t looked back and is now the National Chair of the South African Transplant Sports Association but has also represented South Africa at four World Transplant Games in Australia, Sweden, South Africa and Argentina respectively, the last two as national captain.
