Seehaam Samaai
Women’s Legal Centre rep Seehaam Samaai talks about sexual harassment in the workplace.
Another issue many women experience in a workplace set up, is being sexually harassed by a boss or colleague. With us to discuss is director of the Women’s Legal Centre in Cape Town, Seehaam Samaai. According to studies, 1 in every 3 women has been sexually harassed at work. Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual's employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual's work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.
