Rolanda Marais

Afternoon Express welcomes Theatre and television actress Rolanda Marais to the loft.

Rolanda was born in Gauteng and stayed there until the age of 12. She and her family moved to the Boland town of Wellington. She did her Afrikaans-Dutch degree and studied drama at the University of Cape Town.

Rolanda has taken part in several stage performances including Aars! with Antoinette Kellerman and Dawid Minnaar, and as Julia in Romeo en Julia with Jana Cillliers, Antoinette and Dawid. She also played the title role in Hedda Gabler, which was performed at the Oudtshoorn festival. Her television credits include the SABC3 South African-Canadian sci-fi drama Charlie Jade, Gaz'lam, Intersexions and most recently High Rollers.
