Nigerian-American actress Pepi Sonuga joins us in the loft today to share her incredible journey of growing up living in poverty to becoming the amazing career woman she is now.
23-year-old Pepi Sonuga is living her dreams as she is steadily making her mark in the movie industry. Born of an Igbo mother and a Yoruba father, Pepi moved from Lagos to America at the age of 11 with her mom in pursuit of more opportunities and a better life. Before working her way onto the big screen, she started off with pageants and her modelling career took when at the tender age of 15 she won Miss Teen Los Angeles. One of the prizes from the pageant was a certificate for an acting school which kick-started her acting career and since then her stardom just catapulted to higher heights!
Pepi has bagged numerous roles, expanding her ever-growing resume and really making her mark in Hollywood. She’s played the role of Lacey Emery in the second season of “Ash vs Evil Dead” and most recently got her biggest role yet is playing the role of Tangey Turner, a pop star with a controlling mother on “Famous In Love“, a TV series based on the novel of the same title by Rebecca Serle.
