We are joined by Cape Town’s own young musical protégé, Paxton Fielies. She caught the eye of South Africa when she entered Idols SA 2017, but she caught the heart of South Africa when she ended up winning the whole thing at the young age of 17 years old, and in doing so she went on to become South Africa’s Youngest Winner of Idols.
Now with a strong passion and love for music, the young singer is set to release her debut album, titled ‘This Is Me’, which she wrote herself. She has even collaborated with fellow Idols SA contestant Craig Lucas on his hit track ‘Smoother’, showing to the world that her Idols success was not just a one off thing. Her brand new single “Angifuni” debuted at number 1 on the iTunes Pop Chart, and has been tearing up music charts across the country, since its release. In 2018 Paxton was awarded the title as the Ambassador for Queen Silvia’s “You Me: Equal Rights” Campaign. Which was an honour that she received while in Sweden, participating as part of The World Children’s Prize foundation.
