Joining us once again in the studio joined is Afro-soul singer Ntando Bangani, this time however he is in the hot-seat, and see if the award-winning singer is tested on the cook-along. Ntando Bangani, commonly known as Ntando to his fans, is a Nelspruit born singer has accumulated multiple awards and has gone on to become a platinum-selling artist. He has done a lot throughout his career, and more recently Ntando won the Best Afro Pop Album, at the 2018 South African Music Awards.
He grew up in the Township of Kagiso, in West Rand, Johannesburg. Ntando broke into the industry in 2003, with his debut album “Kwantu”, which went on to become platinum, launching Ntando into stardom and making him a household name. He has stated that his greatest musical influences growing up were Michael Jackson and Bob Marley. “Imvelaphi” which was his second album, went triple platinum raking in multiple awards, even landing ‘Song of the Year’ at both the Metro FM Awards and the SAMA’s, with the song “Dali Wam”.
His third album “Uhambo Lwam” also went platinum and resulted in a tour of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, France, Germany, and India. He also won Best Pop Album at the 2010 SAMA’s for his following album. After a hiatus for some time Ntando came back with a new album in 2017 titled “Mayibuye”, which has had some of the singles on constant airplay from many of the large radio stations, igniting his passionate fans with the love they have for his music
