Nigerian Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim talks about working on her first SA film.
Nse came into prominence in 2008 for her role in the Nigerian film “Reloaded” for which she was nominated “Best Actress” at the African Movie Academy Awards. She is currently working on her South African film debut in a production called “Shushh”.
Etim was born on in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and stated that she has a European ancestry. Etim attended Awa Nursery School and Command Primary School in Kaduna State, from where she then furthered her studies at FGC College and Federal Government College in Jos and Ilorin. She said that her family was often transferred to various regions of Nigeria due to her father's career with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Etim got her first degree in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar.
A strong advocate fot Nigerian film, Nse is keen on working with other African countries to put the continent's film industry to the forefront.
