Noluthando Meje
Afternoon Express interviews singer, actress and television presenter Noluthando Meje.
Noluthando ‘Nolly’ Meje Nqayi is one of South Africa’s most loved and sought after celebrities – having spent over a decade as a leading actress, television presenter, model, singer and songwriter. She’s a bubbly and beautiful young actress who many of us have come to love through her character, Zukisa Kondile, the timid and humble housekeeper on Isidingo. She also has the voice of an angel and was recently chosen to present the “The Sing Off” on SABC 1. Joining us is Nolunthando Meje.
She started her career in the limelight from the young age of just 5 years old and has never looked back since. She describes herself as being crazy, funny, incredibly ambitious, focused and very loving. She is definitely a people’s person and that shine through to whoever has the pleasure of meeting her. She is exceptionally headstrong and likes to keep her personal life private.
She has acted in a string of series, including a lead role in the SABC Afrikaans series, Swartwater and most recent being landing the role of the timid and humble Zukisa, in her dream soaie... Isidingo.
Her TV career doesn’t end there, she is also the presenter of the much anticipated show, The Sing Off, which started airing in May.
She has the voice of an angel and is very passionate about singing. She still plans on writing and recording new songs, she is just waiting for a period of time that she can fully focus and dedicate to her music – as she does not just want to be known as a ‘one hit wonder’.
