Up and coming musician Mathew Gold performs on Afternoon Express today.

He’s one of the rising stars on the South African music scene. A Cape Town bred man, he has captured the nation’s hearts with songs like “No Ordinary Guy” and “Taking It Easy” and has worked alongside some of South Africa’s biggest acts including GoodLuck and AKA.

Mathew Gold is best known for his smooth and dreamy vocal that propelled GoodLuck’s ‘Taking it Easy’ to being one of the top 10 tracks to come out of South Africa during 2011 and landing him a SAMA nomination for Record of The Year. GoodLuck enjoyed working with Gold so much that they decided to produce his first Album. "The Rush" features award winning artists & producers including Goodluck, AKA, Crazy White Boy, The Kiffness and Mr Sakitumi, Justin De Nobrega & Raiven Hunter.
