Legendary pioneers of Mbhaqanga music, the Mahotella Queens, perform for us on Afternoon Express.

We can’t think of a more appropriate musical guest to be joining us for Mandela Day than the three amazing women on our couch. They are the pioneers of Mbhaqanga music, who put the genre the map 50 years ago. And what is most incredible is that they are still going today! We are honoured to have the Mahotella Queens,
 
Ahead of their European tour, we're lucky enough to have them in our loft to perform as well.
