We are joined by the latest South African comedian to join the Daily Show, Loyiso Madinga. Loyiso joined the team as the African correspondent alongside Trevor Noah on the show.
Loyiso has been making a splash in South Africa's comedy scene since he first came about, on 2012, his smart and witty humour has gone on to make him a great crowd pleaser and the comedy circuit. This landed him spots on Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola and The Bantu Hour, which is a SAFTA nominated sketch comedy show.
Even though his father didn’t approve of his life decision to leave his job in advertising, in order to pursue a career in comedy. However his career in comedy has taken him to further places than his life in advertising, he has already performed at comedy festivals in countries such as Switzerland and South Korea. He has also had a sold one man show titled ‘Born Free-ish’ which took place at the Goliath Comedy Club, He even toured with Trevor Noah for his ‘Nationwild’ Tour. This is what impressed Trevor to get Loyiso to go on and become the Daily Show’s African correspondent
