Joining us in the studio is actress Linda Mtoba. The mother-to-be lets us know what she has been up to lately, since the last time she here, such as expecting a baby with her husband of 6 years Steven Meyer. She has gone on to become one of South Africa's favourite actresses since she emerged on to the scene in 2016, with her breakout role as Zama Ngwenya on Isibaya.
Linda grew up in Umlazi, in Kwa-Zulu Natal, where she was always seen as being a child who was always ‘over the top’. In a strange turn of events, Linda had no former aspirations of becoming an actress. Before she landed her role on Isibaya Linda was a primary school teacher, teaching Zulu, and she was also a part-time student studying marketing management. She had no previous acting experience or training, not even taking drama in high school, however she still managed to to land herself the role of Zama Ngwenya, and went on to receive the award of Best New Comer, at the Simon Sabela KZN Film & Television, in 2017.
2017 was a great year for Linda, not only was it the year that she received her first acting award, but she would also go on to marry the love of her life, Steven Meyer. In the same year, she also made it onto the Sowetan’s Mzansi’s Sexiest top 6 sexiest celebrities.
