Sitting down with us in the loft is author Lebohang Masango. Lebohang discusses the new release of her latest children’s book called ‘Mpumo’s Magic Bead’, the book will be published in association with David Philip Publishers. The book is set to be released in September and will be translated into most of the South African languages.
Lebohang is a busy woman as she is not just an author but an Anthropology Master’s Candidate at Wits University, and in September she wont lonely be releasing her book, but she will also be flying the South African flag high. She will be reading poetry at the Rosario International Poetry Festival (FIPR) in Argentina. She has always wanted to right children’s books but thought that it would be better if she started after obtaining her PHD, which also added to why she went the self publishing route. Johannesburg born author is also a social commentator, freelance writer and poet, that also considers herself a “tattooed brown babe and a feminist badass”.
