We are joined in studio by singer, Sindisiwe Magoso, who is commonly known as La Sauce. She was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment in early 2017, and by the end of the year she was already a household name due to her smash hit single ‘I Do’ which featured Amanda Black. The song was number 1 on multiple music stations and channels, and has over 6 million views on YouTube.
We first got to see La Sauce on Miss Pru’s Ambitiouz collaboration ‘Phumelela’, where many people made similarities between her voice and international superstar Rihanna. Before she was La Sauce though, Sindisiwe was just a young singer from Umzinto, in the south coast of Durban. Her love for music began when she was 8 years old, she was always inspired by singers such as the late Branda Fassie and Lebo Mathosa, but she always found herself being musically drawn to hip hop and jazz. She got signed to the popular hip hop record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, a week after she released her first ever single, which she posted on social media, and the video was loved by all.
Even though she may be a singer who managed to make a name for herself at a young age, she still feels that education is an important tool for the youth to have, “My message to the youth is to respect their craft and also go to school.”
