We are joined by American singer Karyn White in the studio. Karyn is best known for her hit singles during the 90’s such as “Superwoman”, “The Way You Love Me”, and “Romantic” which was a number one single on the US Hot 100 chart in 1991.
Her song “Superwoman” edged her in to the history books as one of the most iconic voices of the 90’s, with the song selling over a million units, and it went on to be named the 1989 Billboard R&B Song of the Year. Karyn had been signed to record labels ever since she was 18 years, after the release of her first song which boosted her into stardom, she would also enter a number of beauty pageants during those times. 2011 however saw Karyn step away from major labels, and open up her own independent Karyn White Enterprises Inc (KWE).
Her album “Carpe Diem” was her first album to be released under KWE, which is not only a record company but a multi-platform media company, that has association with not only music but television and film too, that offers diverse and uplifting entertainment across the media broad. KWE has also helped her hone her film skills as she has had the opportunity to produce and work on her own films.
