Grizelda Grootboom talks to us about surviving a human trafficking ring.
Grizelda Grootboom was 18 years old when a trip to Johannesburg turned into a nightmare. Sold into Human Trafficking by a friend in Yeoville she was tied in a room for two weeks and forced to work as a sex slave. Today she is an advocate for Embrace Dignity against human trafficking and boldly speaks out in aid of other women suffering the safe fate.
Embrace Dignity is a non-profit organization advocating for legal reform to end prostitution and sex trafficking, and offering services and support to women seeking exit, known as ‘Sisters’.
