We are joined by one of the hottest young talents in hip hop right now, Frank Casino. The Thembisa born and bred artist may seem like he had a quick come up in 2016, when he took centre stage in the game, with songs such as ‘Whole thing remix’ featuring Riky Rick, and the DJ Speedsta mega hit ‘Mayo’, but he has worked long and hard to get to where he is today.
His musical journey began in 2004, when he and some school mates got signed to an independent record label, under their group name “Krunk Era”, they would eventually go on to change the name to “Blaque Print”. While at the label they worked with the likes of Mr. Selwyn, Amunishin, amongst other industry veterans.
In 2012 Frank co-founded his own label Dapper Gang Records, alongside former ‘Blaque Print member, Parley, however it was only in 2015 that label officially launched though. In 2016 he released his first official single “Whole Thing”, and was on the DJ Speedsta produced track ‘Mayo’, and his career has taken off since then, and Frank hasn’t looked back.
