We are joined by rapper Early B in the studio. He is known for versatile style of rapping, with his witty sense of homour coming through in his infectious songs such as his successful singles “Lekker Djy” and “Ben Ten”, which were both well received by audiences.
Early is not only an accomplished musician, but we is also an actor, having studied stage theatre at school and tertiary. He is not only a creative though, as he also studied Mechanical Engineering, but never graduated to the fact that he chose to pursue his passion for music, before going off to study and obtaining a diploma in Film & Television Production. This has helped him with his music, as he shot, funded, produced, and edited his own music video for his single “Lekker Djy”. He has also worked on short films that he has funded himself, with one of those being a short film that won 5 awards at the Bay Film Festival in 2011, with him winning the ‘Best Editor’ award. Production may be his passion but his music career is equally as important to him, having started his venture in hip hop over 10 years ago, being part of a hip hop trio called MC, Earl and Agemi. They would create mixtapes and have people share their music through word of mouth, due to not knowing how to have their music played on the radio.
Now Early B has been a solo act for over 3 years, after the group broken up, with each member going on to do their own thing. It seams like he has found great success even without his former group, as his single “Lekker Djy” has over a 1 Million views, even winning he best Hip Hop song at the Ghoema Awards, in 2017. He is now set to release his much anticipated debut album titled “Aangename Kennis."
