It was just seven years ago when Dineo Lusenga scored her first paying gig on award winning production Intersexions and she has gone on to become one of the most respected actresses in the country.
Not only does Dineo have an impressive Honours Degree in Dramatic Arts from Wits University under her belt, she's also worked as a content producer, director and writer for numerous shows and productions. Her diversity proves that she is a unique talent and professional who adds value in every project she embarks on or is involved.
She recently has not only starred but also co-produced a short film called ‘Nomfundo’ which is making major waves internationally. The film was selected for the Silicon Valley African Film Festival in California USA, making it its second screening in North America, following the Black Star Film Festival in Philadelphia. The self-funded film also showcased at the Helsinki African Film Festival in Finland as well as the Africa on Screen Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia. Nomfundo is told in SiSwati about a tormented and impulsive young woman who is pregnant with her first child. When betrayed by the people dear to her, she unleashes a tragic chain events.
