David Rees

7de Laan's newest cast member David Rees talks about his role on the show.

Veteran actor David Rees is in the loft. TV audiences will fondly remember him as Nick Naude in Egoli: Plek van Goud, a role he played for 18 years from 1992-2010 - almost the entire run of the show. He has since gone on to play roles in some of the country's biggest television dramas including Binnelanders, Hartland, and Roer Jou Voete.

In June 2016, he makes his debut in 7de Laan along with Deirdre Wolhunter, Carina Nel, André Lotter and Kristen Raath. They are the Welmans, a family originally unseen at the beginning of 7de Laan in 2000 who have returned to Hillside after being overseas.
