Chaeli Mycroft
Kilimanjaro's first quadriplegic climber Chael Mycroft chats to us about her cause.
Joining us is a remakable, inspiring young woman, Chaeli Mycroft who co-founded The Chaeli Campaign at age nine with her sister, Erin and lifelong friends. The Chaeli Campaign’s vision is to mobilise the minds and bodies of children with disabilities and to normalise society through advocacy and education programmes and events.
Chaeli has cerebral palsy, which affects her ability to move, but has become the first quadriplegic to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. After 2 years of planning and 9 months of in-depth preparation, Chaeli has accomplished what many people think would be impossible. She has joined the ranks of the few ambitious mountain climbers to have reached the top of the highest peak in Africa.
