We are joined by founder and director of B Glam SA, BoitumeloRametsi. She is also a body positive Vitiligo spokes model, by starting a campaign to bring awareness to it.
Boitumelo was not born with vitiligo how it started being visible to her by the time that she was 12 years old, and by the time that she entered varsity, it had spread rapidly throughout her body. Due to this, she had difficulties accepting it at first and had to go on a journey of self-discovery. Now that she accepted it and discovered the beauty behind and in it, she has launched a campaign and has said,
“We see ourselves as rebels with a cause. Unlike many trying to raise funds for cures and treatment, we want to remain as we are and live life to the fullest, whilst encouraging the rest of the world to do the same.”
She now currently runs two blogs B Glam Sa, and lifestyle blog Spotted Beauty, of which both aim at celebrating being unique, and raising awareness on vitiligo. B Glam SA began as a beauty and makeup blog that she did as a hobby, but it grew in something more than she could imagine.
