Ahmed Kathrada

Struggle icon and political prisoner Ahmed Kathrada is in the loft today.

Honouring Madiba today, we bring you a man who is no stranger to the South African liberation struggle. He was a long-serving political prisoner on Robben Island during the Apartheid era and has subsequently written a number of books on his experiences and also become a tour guide on the famous island. On our couch is one of the two surviving Rivonia trialists, Ahmed Kathrada.
