Abegail Ntleko

Healthcare activist and AIDS Orphans caregiver Abegail Ntleko graces our loft.

Sister Abegail Ntleko is a remarkable 79 years old nurse and health care activist who has dedicated her life as caregiver and mother to over 30 children that she has adopted as they were abandoned or orphaned from the HIV/AIDS. Her selfless work in the rural areas and the challenges she overcame has been hailed as an inspiration by various influential people such as Desmond Tutu and she was a winner of SABC 2 Women of the Year Award under the Social Welfare category in 2006 and has received the Unsung Heroes of Compassion award presented by the Dalai Lama in 2009.
