Brett Herron on Green Cycling Lanes

Cape Town Transport Mayoral Committee Member Brett Herron chats to us about the Green Cycling Lanes.

Reducing the number of cars on the roads in cities leads to a healthy decrease, not only in the amount of traffic, but also to the impact on the environment. Today we talk Cycling Lanes with Brett Herron, Mayoral Committee Member for Transport in Cape Town.

Brett Herron is a lawyer by profession and the political champion of transportation and Transit Oriented Development in Cape Town and serves as chairperson of the Land Transport Advisory Board. He is the councillor for Ward 57 (an area which includes Devils Peak, Woodstock and Observatory) and also the chairperson of the City’s Naming Committee responsible for naming, renaming and memorialisation in the City of Cape Town.
