Local blues musician Gerald Clark performs on Afternoon Express.

Gerald is one of South Africa's top musicians, a singer and songwriter famous for his voice that can get down to the soul and honesty that comes with blues music. His acoustic Afrikaans album 'Sweepslag' - or 'Whiplash' - was nominated as the best Afrikaans Alternative Music Album at the 2009 SAMAs.

Gerald's latest album, Black Water, has received praise from local press, and he will be performing for us LIVE on the show with Ongx Mona providing backup vocals.
