Vitiligo is a disorder in which white patches of skin appear on different parts of the body. This happens because the cells that make pigment in the skin are destroyed. These cells are called melanocytes.

In South Africa, there are various stigmas attached to vitiligo and Afternoon Express will be addressing some of these as well as also talk about what causes vitiligo, who gets it, and what can be done to cure it if anything.
