We are joined by one of South Africa’s biggest fashion designers and designer to the stars, Gert-Johan Coetzee. Gert joins us to talk about his newly formed collaboration with McDonald’s for their Big Mac’s 50th birthday.
With the Big Mac turning 50 this year McDonald’s has decided to collaborate with a number of local icons around the South Africa, and this includes our very own favourite designer Gert-Johan Coetzee. Gert has partnered with McDonald’s to in order to create a new Big Mac inspired fashion range. All of the sales from the collection will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. The charity provides a safe home for the families of children who require specialised hospital treatment. The line was first seen back in April at South African Fashion Week. The collection differs a little bit from Coetzee’s usual high end red carpet showstoppers, as it also features glamorous casual-wear.
“It’s comfortable and wearable, but still edgy and glam, and there is something for everyone!” Gert-Johan Coetzee
