The Newcomer Showcase is a platform that gives budding young comedians the chance to show what they’ve got, in an attempt to win the Newcomer of the year at the Comic’s Choice awards in September and this year’s event will be held at the Soweto Theatre on the 29th of May. Previous winners of the award include Deep Fried Man, Schalk Bezuidenhout, as well as Yaseen Barnes, who joins us on his second visit to the loft.
