First For Women Features Praisy Dlamini
One of SA's first black woman in winemaking Praisy Dlamini joins us in the loft.
Today, 1st for Women Insurance is continuing the “First SA Women’s series through Afternoon Express where we celebrate admire and learn from a number of fantastic South African women.
Today we are going to chat to one of the first black women making a name for themselves in winemaking, Praisy Dlamini, who is assistant winemaker at Zonnebloem Wines. With a positive attitude and dedication, Praisy learned early on to turn her challenges into advantages. Originally from KZN, she completed her Bachelors in Agriculture Cellar Technology at Stellenbosch University and not only did she become proficient in Afrikaans, but after completing her degree she landed a three-year internship with the Cape Winemakers Guild, becoming the first woman Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé.
