Episode 65 • 31 July 2015
UK comedy acts Earl Okin and Bruce Airhead, and SA rocker Jesse Clegg are in the loft.
Charlie Chaplin once said "a day without laughter is a day wasted", and today on Afternoon Express, we're living up to that with popular UK comedy acts Earl Okin and Bruce Airhead. Okin has been on the musical comedy scene for almost 50 years and was signed to the same label as the Beatles. Bruce Airhead has one of the most unique acts in comedy which sees him wiggle his way into a six-foot balloon and ends with a surprising twist. Both are currently performing at the 11th Annual Cape Town Funny Festival until 16 August.
Jesse Clegg - the son of legendary musician Johnny Clegg - has in 2014 brought his much loved music to the international stage, embarked on a seven week tour across the United States and Canada, which comprised of 32 shows in 31 cities. He recently returned to the studio to record a new album and will be performing a new single from that album.
Also on the show, our Revlon Love is On series continues as we look at some blind date makeup tips, and in the kitchen we create a bruleed rice pudding and no bake cheesecake!
