Episode 110 • 6 October 2015
Surfer and speaker Chris Bertis and former Miss Earth SA Catherine Constantinides chat to us.
This Tuesday on Afternoon Express we spoke sustainability with guests Chris Bertish - a big wave surfer with an inspring story who travels the world as a motivational speaker - and Catherine Constantinides, former Miss Earth South Africa-turned director of the same organisation.
We also spoke about two developments in two of out country's major cities which look to decrease traffic. Cape Town's Brett Herron of the mayoral committee, spoke to us about the new cycling lanes, and Sipho Nhlapo introduced the EcoMobility Festival in Sandton which closes off roads in the CBD and only allows walking and cycling in an attempt to curb traffic.
And what is Afternoon Express without food? Amber from Woolies created sriracha, peanut and vegetable summer rolls, and #Selati was once again the star of the dish in our jalapeno popper recipe.
